What Is a Bull Terrier?

Among the most comical and mischievous citizens of dogdom, the Bull Terrier is playful and endearing, sometimes stubborn, but always devoted. These unique “eggheads” are exuberant, muscular companions who thrive on affection and exercise.

Some of you dog lovers out there have a secret dislike for Bull Terriers. They are NOT Pit Bulls! We are hoping you will fall in love with their unusual face and their playful and mischievous personality!

"Bull Terriers are robust, big-boned terriers who move with a carefree stride suggesting quickness and power. The breed’s trademark is a long, egg-shaped head with erect and pointed ears, and small, triangular eyes that sparkle with good humor. A well-made BT is the picture of muscular determination and balance." [1]

There are four keys to Bull Terrier happiness:

  1. Early socialization with dogs and people

  2. Firm but loving training

  3. Ample exercise

  4. Tons of quality time with his beloved humans

If these requirements are met, there is no more loyal, lovable, and entertaining companion. This is the ultimate “personality breed.”
